Welcome to Shaun Newman Guitars - the home of fine quality, handmade classical guitars

As you will see from the pages behind this one, I primarily make concert classical guitars, but also make other stringed instruments such as mediaeval fiddles, dulcimers and lutes.

I use only the finest available woods; Brazilian rosewood, Indian rosewood, cypress, lacewood and occasionally zebrano. All instrument fronts are spruce (usually Engelmann).

The site allows you to see and hear some of my instruments, and to contact me should you wish to consider a commission, or buy from stock.  My preferred method of contact is by telephone.
